Just got the latest two United DC-10s from Inflight. I think both are well done and sit nicely with my "Saul Bass" DC-10, too! Coincidentally, I hadn't heard this was going to be the case, but the Worldwide Cargo DC-10 and the Saul Bass DC-10 sport the same reg # N1852U. 1852U initially was delivered to Laker Airways (G-BGXE) on 5th Jan, 1980. Then flew for Malayasian Air System (G-BGXE) and United as 1852U in both Saul Bass colors and Worldwide Cargo before joing FedEx on 16th Feb, 2001 as N323FE, but was never painted in FedEx colors.
1858U, was delivered to World Airways and later sold to United where she wore Saul Bass and Battleship Grey before being sold to the Royal Netherlands Air Force in 2001, where she still flies today.
